You know what I hate? Well, a lot of stuff, really, but I really, really hate sequels. Most of the time, it’s just a lame excuse for Hollywood types to make some money by making another movie that’s basically the same as the first. Now, the reason I hate this, is because I ALWAYS get suckered into watching these things. Now, you might think that, that’s my fault, but I don’t think it is. If you don’t have a good idea for a movie, then, by all means, just don’t make one!!

What starts me on this rant? Well,
I just rented that weird ‘shot by shot’ remake of Psycho. And let me tell you something, this movie does point out one
thing, bad acting can really ruin any movie!
Because, if you’ve seen the original, you know that without being gory
or graphic, a black and white movie can scare the pants off you!
But if you’ve seen the remake, you’ll know that by adding color and
Anne Heche, you can kill off any movie! Vince
Vaughn is alright as Norman Bates, but he’s no Anthony Perkins.
William H Macy plays William H Macy as Martin Balsam as a detective. But they really sold this movie with Anne Heche.
She’s this generations Janet Leigh!
Well, the best part of that is that she gets killed early on in the
movie. It’s worth the rental just
to see Anne Heche get stabbed in the shower.
That almost made it worth the price of the rental!
So, if you’re in the mood to see Psycho, just go ahead and rent the
original and explain to the kids that back in the dark ages they didn’t have
color, everything was in black and white, which made it hard to grow flowers!
And avoid the remake of Psycho, it’s just not worth the time.
So until the next time someone comes up with some crappy idea for a
remake or sequel, the best movies are the bad ones!!
