Alright, I'll admit it. I'm a white guy, in fact, I'm about as white as they come. My pants actually cover my
underwear. I've never 'thrown a gang sign' whatever that means. I've never been 'down' with anything that I
know of, and 40 is closer to my age than to anything I drink! So, it seems unusual for me to watch what is
essentially a 'black' movie. But you know what, movie really doesn't have any color, they're just good and bad,
that's it. So when I was perusing my local video store and saw Bones was in, I couldn't resist!

I've never been able to resist a bad horror movie, as long as I've been alive. I was the kid who sat inside on
Saturdays because that's the day all the 'Creature Features' were on. So, I grabbed Bones with the glee of a
small child and ran home. Now, when you think of Snoop Dogg, you really don't think of horror movies, you think
drive bys and something called 'gin and juice'. But I have to tell you I was pleasantly surprised. Snoop can
act...sort of. I don't think the part was all that big a stretch for him, but hey, let's give Snoop the benefit of the
doubt and say that he's really not a pimp and that he can act!
This is basically the story of a local hood, played by Snoop who's from the 'old school' of bad guys. He'll run
numbers and booze, but when it comes to drugs, he has to 'just say no'. And this is set in the 70s, so he was way
ahead of his time! When a dirty cop and a bunch of other local hoods try to talk Jimmy Bones, played by Snoop,
into selling drugs in the neighborhood and Bonds says no, they do what all self respecting hoodlums do, they kill
him and bury him in his own basement.
But you know what they say, it's hard to keep a good pimp down? Well, apparently it's true, because twenty
years later, or "Present Day" as it's known in the movies. Jimmy's grave is disturbed and he comes back to seek
revenge! I know, it sounds like a cheesy run of the mill horror movie, and it is, but that's what's so good about it!
There's no 'mystery killer', there's no standard fare slasher. Snoop plays the first original legitimate 'back
from hell' movie monster since pinhead in "Hellraiser". And he does it with such flair that it makes the movie
worth watching!! It's called "Bones" and it's one of the best 'monster' movies made in a loooooong time! So,
here's what I suggest, wait for the next bright sunny warm Saturday, go rent Bones at around noon, head back
home, pull all the curtains, lay down on the couch and enjoy! And until the next time, remember one thing,
wrestling may not be real, but it's still a bunch of fun, and the best movies are bad movies!!
