Raising The Stakes

Hey, were you a dork when you were younger? Well, I certainly was! Alright, I'll admit it, I'm still a huge dork...are you happy now? Anyhow, there's a pretty cool indie movie called Raising The Stakes which takes geeks to a whole new level!

Raising The Stakes is the tale of Steve and Bob, now Steve and Bob aren't your normal guys, these are fanboys of the highest order! And if you don't know what a fanboy is, then you, my friend are in the wrong spot!!! Well, Steve and Bob wish they were vampires, because they're Way Cool, so after a little research, emphasis on little there, they discover a way to actually become vampires. So, after taking a magic elixir, Steve and Bob now hunt the night as undead bloodsuckers.

But, there is one problem, they're still huge geeks and even as vampires, no one respects a geek! So, there they are roaming the night, hunting victims and what they end up getting, mostly, is their asses kicked!

This is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long long time, in fact, I recently dragged it out to rewatch it and laughed just as hard the second time around. I've said it before and I'll stick by my words, if Kevin Smith made a vampire flick, it would look like this. So if you like laughing at geeks, or if you, like myself, are a full blown, out of the closet geek, this movie is for you!
You can get Raising The Stakes at http://www.freakproductions.net, I'd suggest you check it out asap, you won't be disappointed. So, until next time, when I'll explain the difference between a geek, a dweeb and a spaz, remember, the best movies are bad movies!

Glad you feel at home! Take your shoes off, feel the shag carpet under your feet and sit a spell, as they say! And as for telling your friends, Hey, the more the merrier. You know they say misery loves company!!!
